- I was born in Hamburg, Germany and moved to Montreal, Canada in 1960. After I visited friends in the United States in 1962 I enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1962. After having proudly served 20 years in the Air Force I found myself working in the Pentagon for the next 20 until I finally found my new passion....wine. My blog is not only about wine but also about daily observations that perhaps best be enjoyed in the company of great people and a glass of wine.
